Following on from his sold out debut London show last year, Change The Rapper returns for his largest UK headline show to date. Since Chance’s last appearance in the UK, he has worked on collaborations with the likes of James Blake, Justin Bieber, and Skrillex, along with featuring on a new Pia Mia track that is set for release on the official soundtrack of Divergent, a new feature film directed by Neil Burger (The Illusionist, Limitless).
Hailing from Chicago, Illinois, Chance The Rapper first shot to prominence with the release of his first mixtape ‘#10Day’ in 2011. Immediately championed by music publications in his native Chicago and beyond, Chance continued to release new music and was featured on tracks by the likes of Childish Gambino, and Joey Bada$$.
Fast forward to 2013, and Chance’s sophomore effort, ‘Acid Rap’, attained the coveted ‘Best New Music’ tag from Pitchfork, as well as achieving ‘universal acclaim’ on Metacritic and reaching Complex’s 4th best album of 2013. Encompassing Chance’s own tumultuous upbringing in Chicago, and the rich musical traditions of the city, ‘Acid Rap’ is safely one of the ‘must listen’ mixtapes of last year.
