Diana Vickers has already been described as one of the most exciting new pop stars of 2010 and the public have agreed as her debut single shot straight in to the charts at No 1. Now she follows up that success with a live tour around the country in support of her new album ‘Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree.’
The tour which starts in Liverpool on 8th May includes shows across the UK before finishing in Edinburgh on 20th May. This tour follows a handful of live dates in March which had fans and media praising Diana’s live performance. The Independent gave Diana’s London show last month a 4 star review last month saying “Vickers comes across as wide-eyed and sincere on stage, performing her unashamedly poppy songs beautifully.”
Diana’s debut album ‘Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree’ will be released on May 3rd. The album includes collaborations with musicians ranging from Guy Sigsworth to Ellie Goulding, Nerina Pallot, Starsmith and Lightspeed Champion. The result is one of the sparkiest and unique pop records of recent years.
