V FESTIVAL 2011 SELLS OUT IN 1 Hour 20 MINUTES!!
Tickets for this year’s V Festival, sponsored by Virgin Media, today sold out in a record 100 minutes as music fans secured their place in the crowd. Tickets have sold out for both sites; Hylands Park, Chelmsford, and Weston Park, Staffordshire, after going on sale at 9am on Friday 4th March.
New for 2011, festival-goers will experience the more glamorous side of camping with the arrival of V Style. Fans can now take in their favourite artists by day before chilling-out in luxury ready built Pods, Yurts, Hearthworks Tipis and pop-up hotel rooms by night. Also making its V Festival debut, a brand new comedy tent will have fans in stitches as top talent from the world of comedy takes to the stage.
Festival Director, Simon Moran commented:
“Selling out in 1 hour 20 minutes is a new record for us, the line-up is very strong. V Festival 2011 offers a great balance of classic crowd pleasers, new emerging talent, solid live performers, and a couple of surprises thrown in for good measure. Fans can expect a festival experience like no other and with a host of live talent across four stages the only dilemma will be which act to see.
“We also have new additions to the V Festival experience this year. V style will give fans the opportunity to enjoy a VIP experience, with a host of onsite luxury camping choices. Ticket holders can also look forward to a brand new comedy tent to ensure some light entertainment over the weekend”.
Now in its 16th year, V Festival 2011 promises a spectacular display of worldwide music talent with a strong British contingent led by Arctic Monkeys and acts from across the pond including Eminem and Rihanna. The line-up also boasts a host of BRIT award winners including Plan B, Tinie Tempah, and Jessie J.
