Hozier Announces New UK Dates + DÚbuts At 1 In Irish Album Chart.

Hozier’s debut album has smashed 2014’s Irish album sales records to become the fastest selling album of the year.

The self-titled debut album which finds a 6th October release in the UK, outsold the top 12 albums combined to give Hozier his first number 1 album in his homeland. It followed his breakthrough performance on Later with Jools Holland last week.

His current single, Take Me To Church, is currently sitting at over 11 million views on YouTube and Hozier has now become one of Spotify’s most viral artists in their history with over 21 million streams of the single, and with six songs in Spotify US’ Viral Chart.

Hozier is now back out on tour across America, where he will perform on Saturday Night Live on 11th October.

The musician from County Wicklow follows his recent sell-out show at London’s Koko with new UK headline shows in Oxford and Birmingham for December, and an appearance at XFM’s Winter Wonderland in Manchester.

The two London dates recently announced for January at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire have now both sold-out.

Tickets for the new shows are on sale from Friday 10th October HERE.

Hozier acknowledges influences of blues, folk, and soul on his upcoming album – shredding this all-encompassing blend into a deftly woven signature sound that can be heard on his first EP releases.  Hozier co-produced the new album with Rob Kirwan (PJ Harvey and Depeche Mode).
