The Gathering Sound tour is the first chance to see James performing in the UK since their Orchestra Of The Swan/Manchester Consort Choir tour in 2011. The tour is also a chance to catch up with Echo and the Bunnymen who will be touring for the first time since their appearances reappraising their seminal first two Crocodiles and Heaven Up Here albums in 2010. Echo and the Bunnymen formed in Liverpool in 1978 and since then have released eleven studio albums including Porcupine - which reached No.2 - and Ocean Rain which hit the No.4 spot. The band’s last studio album entitled The Fountain was released in 2009. The two bands appeared on the same bill for the first time this summer, at Sound Island Festival in Kent where James headlined.
