while we are in a generous mood, things have been moving on apace with the film we are making of sigur ros's final concerts in london in november 2008, and we are currently finalising two exclusive work-in-progress edits of songs from the project with all people buying tickets for jonsi's shows, direct from the computer of director vincent morisset (arcade fire's 'miroir noir', etc) himself.' these edits will be delivered to ticket purchasers at some point during august.
the sound is still rough, there is no grading and no inking of the (excellent) back story, but we're telling you already this is going to be a peach of a film.

finally, as if that wasn't enough excitement for one e-mailout, our entirely non-scientific survey of people expressing an opinion, reveals that 'tornado' is everyone's favourite track on jonsi's 'go' album. there are all kinds of theories as to why this might be the case, one of which is that it's the one closest in sound to sigur ros. well, we don't know about that, but we do know that since so many people seem to like it so much, we could do worse than offer it as an exclusive download to any of you as yet unfamiliar with its transcendent beauty.
