London based duo HONNE are pleased to announce their upcoming headline show at London’s Oval Space on 21ST October.
The gig will see the band round off a great year on the live circuit including sold out London shows at The Laundry and Electrowerkz, a support slot on tour with Kwabs as well as a summer of festival performances at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, The Great Escape, Field Day and Latitude.
Earlier this year, the band released their third EP ‘Coastal Love’ via their own imprint Tatemae Recordings to critical acclaim with the title track’s video premiering on The Fader and the video for second offering ‘Top To Toe’ premiering on Noisey. Previous EP releases include 'Warm On A Cold Night' (which reached #1 on Hype Machine and has over 1.6 million plays on Spotify) and ‘All in the Value.’ The latter features seductive song ‘The Night,’ which is currently on over 2 million plays on SoundCloud and 1.5 million views on YouTube.
HONNE are soulful electronic duo Andy (on vocals) and James (on production), whose atmospheric West Coast influences find their slightly less evocative source in the South-West of England (specifically, Somerset and Wiltshire). They met at university, forming a close bond befitting the first new person each other had spoken to. Slowly they set about developing their sound and production skills, between part-time jobs teaching music in schools. HONNE are creating a distinct, night-time aesthetic to their sultry sounds.
