Manchester legends Puressence have today announced two headline shows for 2026 in London’s Islington Assembly Hall on Saturday 25 April 2026 and hometown Manchester’s Academy 1 on Saturday 02 May 2026.
Puressence are a band that marry the presence and attitude of the Roses to a darkly haunting and molten guitar rock that last hit the heights during the era of Joy Division and Echo & The Bunnymen. James Mudriczki, Kevin Matthews, Lowell Killen and Anthony Szuminski have had more than their share of diehard fans, especially within Manchester and Greece, where they play to the masses. Among their countless accolades and success of headlines, Puressence have supported the likes of Depeche Mode, Iggy Pop and James throughout accomplished tours.
The Manchester quintet put emotion at the forefront of all they do, from the fragile to the euphoric. This emotion is echoed through the support and commitment of their unwavering fans, making their live experience an incomparable one.
35 years on since Puressence formed in North Manchester, they continue to refine, expand and craft their skill. They now return after their triumphant hometown gig in 2024 at Manchester’s Albert Hall, reignited and ready to welcome their fans back once again with two shows across the UK. Tickets will be on sale from Friday 05 September at 10am.
