The Pogues Announce Special December UK Shows

Since their massive show at London’s The O2 last year for their 30th anniversary The Pogues are back this December performing their critically acclaimed second album ‘Rum, Sodomy & the Lash’ in its entirety plus other favourite tracks.

‘Rum, Sodomy & the Lash’ was released 1985 to tremendous acclaim and showcased The Pogues unique mix of traditional Irish folk, punk and classic songwriting. It has since been in Rolling Stone’s top 500 albums of all time and Q Magazine placed it at number 93 in its list of the 100 Greatest British Albums ever in 2000.

The Pogues formed in 1982 and released seven hugely acclaimed albums before splitting up in 1996. The band re-formed to play live shows in 2001 and have been playing regularly since with reviews from The Telegraph saying ‘The whole experience is utterly uplifting’ and Q applauding that ‘They are as fiery and as potent as ever.’
